Subject: help me! with Enhanced(bidirectional) Parallel Port spec.
To: TCP-Group%UCSD.Edu@prug.or.jp
I have small 386SL PC-compatible machine with 25-pin parallel port,
and am going to make its connection to a TNC which has a flexible
(work under several modes) parallel port interface, and no serial
interface to the host.
Wiring is OK, and PC -> TNC initialization seemed done, but
direction control is impossible. Problem lies in here.
In setup mode, I have LPT[1-3] naming choice (with different I/O
addresses) for the port, but any choice for bidirectional mode
does not appear. I have heard of something about changing mode.
But trying with debug to command I/O then to switch into
bidirectional mode took no effect... I am short of reliable
information to modify driver.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
(specification in any shape, free source codes of any drivers
making use of the function, and so on...)
